Police have arrested 5 individuals in connection to the violence that was reported in Feydhoo of Addu City last Thursday.
Police had said that that a fight had broken out between two rival groups near the children's park in Feydhoo and that 7 people were injured in the brawl.
It had also said that while some of the injured were treated at Feydhoo Health Center, some of the wounded were sent to the hospital in Hithadhoo.
In the latest development, Police said that it had arrested 5 men in connection to the violence in Feydhoo.
It said that this includes an 18-year-old, a 20-year-old, two 21-year-olds, and a 32-year-old.
Police said that its station in Hithadhoo continues to investigate the case.
Yesterday, Police had reported a stabbing incident in Addu City when a man was attacked with a sharp object around 1:00 in the morning.
Police had said that the victim was treated at Addu Equatorial Hospital but reported that his condition was not serious.
Sources have said that the attack had happened near the mosque on Hithadhoo main road.
