Police have arrested a foreigner for sexually harassing two women on the streets of Male’.
Police said the alleged incident occurred on the 1st of this around 10:08 in the evening and that the women were sexually harassed while walking on a street in Male’.
It said that upon investigation, Police had apprehended a 54-year-old Indian man in relation to the incident.
Police said that the man was arrested yesterday and that it was further investigating the matter.
Such incidents of sexual harassment aimed at women have become commonplace here in the Maldives and such reports are made to the police frequently.
