Education Ministry has launched a training program aimed at teachers to enhance their skills in teaching in online classrooms.

In a tweet, the Ministry said that the program was a collaboration between the Commonwealth Educational Media Center for Asia (CEMCA) and the National Institute of Education NIE.

It said that the training program would be held from 8th September to 10th September via Zoom.

Education Ministry added that 677 teachers and educators from across the country would join the training program.

The Ministry said facilitators from CEMCA would be presenting the session in the 3-day program. It said the session would shed light on how to prepare lessons for online classes, how to use Google Classroom and its tools effectively, and how to use these to assess students.

It added that the program would also highlight other tools that are vital to online learning.

Education Ministry stated that it plans to organize other relevant programs in the near future.
