Finance Ministry says customers can apply for SME Development Finance Corporation SDFC loan moratoriums starting today.
The Minister said the loan moratorium has been extended for 4 months and customers can apply for the extension via a portable on the corporation’s website.
Minister also said that all extension applications must be submitted before the 25th of September.
It warned that if customers fail to apply for the extension before this date, it would mean that these customers did not wish to extend their existing moratoriums granted by SDFC.
The Ministry added that such customers must resume their loan repayments from September 2020 onwards.
It noted that more information on the moratorium extension would be available on the corporation’s website.
SDFC has extended its loan moratorium till the end of the year.
The Bank had also said that it would prioritize assisting Micro-, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) overcome the financial difficulties brought on them by the COVID-19 pandemic.
