Criminal Court of Maldives remands the prime suspect who had called to burn alive the country's President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, for 15 days.

Maldives Police Service reports the suspect who incited said violence against the country's head of state was a 47 year old local male. He was arrested on Sunday following a court order demanding such.

During a live broadcast program at local TV, Channel13, an individual had publicly called out to set ablaze Maldives president during one of the interviews.

Following the incident, Broadcasting Commission had intervened stating it will looking into the matter to indict those who are responsible.

Meanwhile the local channel issued out a public apology for airing the program.
