Jumhooree Party’s Vice President Ahmed Saud says the party stands with President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and his government.
In a tweet, Saud said that JP’s support in President Solih would not waver and called on the opposition not to twist the COVID-19 situation in the country. He also called on the opposition not to pick ‘fights’ with the government at this juncture.
He went on to say that this is not the time to create chaos in the country and that those who truly loved the nation would not sow confusion at such a grave time.
Saud made the comments as the Opposition coalition held several politically motivated activities in the last couple weeks despite outcry from state authorities and amid a growing pandemic that has gripped the nation since March of this year.
