A man has been injured in the Male’ after being hit by a concrete block that fell from a building under construction.
Police said the concrete block had fallen from MA. Gomashi and had a hit a pedestrian who was rushed to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Police said the incident had occurred around 10:40 am today.
It also said that they were further investigating the incident.
Such accidents have been common in construction sites around the country with lax safety measures on such sites.
Authorities are working to enhance the safety measures taken on such sites to safeguard workers and members of the public.
