President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih says the Commonwealth Games Federation has approved the resolution that re-admitted the Maldives back into the federation.
In a tweet, President Solih said that President of the Commonwealth Games Federation Dame Lousie Martin had written to him informing that the resolution had been approved.
President thanked all the member countries of the commonwealth who supported the country’s re-admission into the Commonwealth Games Federation.
He also proclaimed today as a very happy day for Maldivian sporting.
The Maldives re-joined the Commonwealth on the 1st of February 2020.
