Ooredoo has announced that registrations for Ooredoo Atholhu Dhuvun has been opened today through an online registration.

Ooredoo said that it kept registration free to encourage as many people to join in the fun from wherever they are.

It said that participants will also get the opportunity to upgrade their digital medal to a physical one, which can be delivered to homes nationwide.

Ooredoo said that it Atholhu Dhuvun is a first of its kind nationwide virtual run that can be enjoyed individually or with friends and family, while still maintaining physical distancing.

Participants can join the virtual run from their homes or a nearby running track from wherever they are and complete the run whenever they want throughout the weekend (28th & 29th August 2020).

It said that registered runners will receive a digital BIB number and a confirmation message with a unique URL to upload a screenshot of the completed run route to claim the digital medal.

Runners are required to track their run with any of the recommended Apps, which are Strava, Garmin Connect, Runtastic, Nike Run Club, nd Runkeeper.

How does it work?

  • Register for the run on Atholhu Dhuvun Portal.
  • Select your Atoll and Island to mark your location.
  • Complete the 5K using any recommended running app to track your run.
  • Submit a screenshot of your completed run route from your App to the Atholhu Dhuvun Portal to claim your medal.

Ooredoo said that it was excited to welcome running enthusiasts and everyone who is interested in a good time, to be a part of this first of its kind nationwide virtual run, the biggest event of the year.
