National Health Scheme Aasandha says the third batch of locals who require medical treatment from abroad have departed to India today.
In a statement, Aasandha said as per the formal request from President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to the government of India, 60 locals were allowed to travel to India and that they traveled at the expense of the company.
The Company also said that these 60 individuals include patients and guardians too.
It also assured that all the passengers who had departed to India today had received visa documents as per the guidelines set by the Public Health Authorities of India and with negative results for a COVID-19 test.
Aasandha also said Indian authorities would also test the inbound passengers for COVID-19 and would also test them after their mandatory 14 days quarantine period.
The third batch of locals departed to India after four would-be passengers tested positive for COVID-19 earlier today.
Aasandha said that these four people included one patient and three helpers.
It also said that one person’s positive result was confirmed after the person boarded the plane.
