A total of 45 additional positive cases to Covid-19 viral contagion were confirmed on Tuesday by health authorities.
According to Health Protection Agency (HPA), Tuesday's batch includes 31 Maldivians along with 12 Bangladesh nationals and 2 Indians.
The current total of overall positive cases have exceeded 3,000 in Maldives reaching an exact of 3,044 as per latest updates - inclusive of recoveries and active cases.
Meanwhile health authorities attest 28 additional recoveries within the last 24 hours, increasing the total number of recoveries to 2,397.
Maldives reports a total of 15 cases of death in relation to Covid-19, which is still one of the lowest mortality rates across the region.
