An administrative section staff employed at Prosecutor General's Office of Maldives has tested positive for Covid-19 viral disease.

Public Prosecutor Ahmed Shafeeu, employed at the office on Thursday gave the confirmation of one of their staff testing positive for the contagion.

Meanwhile, the authority has urged all of its employees to continue their duties and manage their work from home.

PG Office was disinfected following discovery of a positive case from the authority, while it confirms conducting a contact-tracing with the assistance of Health Protection Agency to assess people with whom the infected had interacted.

All employees who came out for duty in the current week have been shifted to work from home effective 12 July while employees who worked at home between 5 to 9 July will resume work at the authority from coming Sunday onwards.
