The official spokesperson on Covid-19 related developments in Maldives, Mohamed Mabrook Azeez on Tuesday evening confirmed the permissible hours for public to go outside have been extended.

During the press conference at National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC), Azeez confirmed the curfew hours have thus been shortened, as public will now be allowed to go outside between 05:00hrs and 23:00hrs.

Moreover, members of the public still have limitations with number of people gathered in crowds with the number not exceeding 30 people at any given spot.

Meanwhile, business hours will be extended from Wednesday onwards while cafes, restaurants and food-courts can open for dine-in services between 05:00hrs to 22:00hrs.
