The third batch of medical assistance from China reached Maldives on Wednesday.
According to the Chinese Ambassador to Maldives, Zhang Lizhong, made in a tweet the batch included 5,000 face masks, 5,000 surgical masks, 5,000 disposable cover-alls and 5,000 medical goggles.
The East Asian giant have been rendering several assistance to the island nation since the pandemic hit its shores.
Meanwhile, it was also confirmed that China will be considering the deferment of Maldives' debt to it.
China has remained an important ally to Maldives, providing assistance throughout several large-scale aspects which includes the Sinamale' Bridge inter-linking Maldives capital city with airport island and the satellite town of Hulhumale'.
Moreover, it has assisted with the development of various quarantine and isolation facilities across the Maldives amid the viral Covid-19 pandemic.
