World Health Organization (WHO) have once again gifted Maldives government with testing kits used in assessing presence of Covid-19 virus.
In the recent batch, the organization have gifted 5,000 units of the test kits. The new batch was accepted during a special ceremony held at Dharubaaruge on Monday, 08 June.
The kits were received by Minister of Health Abdulla Ameen during the held ceremony.
With the latest batch of test kits, the organization have gifted a total of 41,000 test kits to the island nation in its efforts against the viral contagion.
Ministry of Health in their official Twitter handle confirmed the testing kits were handed over by the WHO Representative to the Maldives, Dr. Arvind Mathur.
Meanwhile, the Maldives minister had thanked WHO for its continued aid and assistance to the country in its impetus towards curbing the spread of the disease.
