Health authorities on Tuesday confirm 120 more individuals recovering from the viral Covid-19 disease.

On Monday, 1 June, authorities had revealed the recovery of 35 individuals in the country hiking the total recoveries to 488.

As of the latest update, the total number of recoveries have surged to 608, which has been attested by Health Protection Agency (HPA).

Meanwhile, Maldives reports a total of 1841 positive cases of the Covid-19 virus, since it's initial outbreak in the country.

The number of active cases on Tuesday earlier was recorded at 1332, which has since deflated to 1224 with the confirmation of the latest recoveries.

As of Tuesday, the island nation reports a total of 7 deaths related to the virus.

Maldives government earlier announced easing restrictive measures towards the lockdown exercised in Greater Male' Region. Several eases including increased time for locals to go outside, along with permissions for businesses to increase delivery options were granted as well.
