NEOC Spokesperson Mohamed Mabrook Azeez confirms that 52 more Covid-19 patients have recovered from the virus in the Maldives.
Speaking to the media, Mabrook said that with the new recoveries, the number of recovered cases has now reached 453.
Mabrook also said that 69 people were released from quarantine yesterday. He said these individuals were released home after they completed their 14-day mandatory quarantine period and after having tested negative twice for Covid-19.
He said that 1403 people remained under quarantine and that 1259 people were currently under isolation.
Officials have confirmed that 101 individuals tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday taking the total number of cases to 1773.
The government has eased some of the restrictive measures it has taken in light of the Covid-19 crisis, including allowing three from each household to go out for two hours for essential goods shopping.
