The Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has concluded to reopen government institutions with minimized operational hours, commencing from Sunday.
Government is expected to reopen under special circumstances from 1 June until 11 June for a two-week period.
However, it has been confirmed state institutions will remain officially open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays of the two-week period between 09:00hrs until 13:00hrs.
President's Office claimed though state institutions will be opening for essential operations, public will not be permitted to attend to these venues to acquire services in person.
According to the President's Office, each institution's minister or the most senior designate are assigned to decide the responsibilities that will be carried out while the venues remain open.
The government bodies have been advised to resume work by utilizing the least amount of employees necessary to execute crucial tasks.
Furthermore, it was confirmed each state body must present details of work and tasks to Health Protection Agency (HPA) for approval prior to dispatching employees physically to the venues.
