Maldives Monetary Authority says during the lockdown period from 15th to 28th May, MMA and banks will be open for 3 days.
The central bank said MMA and banks would open on 18th, 20th, and 26th May from 09:00hrs to 12:00hrs.
MMA said the banks would only provide essential banking services.
It said MMA would not offer services to the general public.
Meanwhile, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has ordered that all government offices are to remain closed between the 17th and 28th of May.
Despite the temporary closure of government offices, all essential services, as listed in the 11th directive issued by the President’s Office this year on 17th April 2020, will continue uninterrupted.
