Authorities confirm two more individuals who tested positive for the COVID-19 virus have been transferred to Dharumavantha Hospital for treatment.
Dr Ibrahim Afzal, who sits in the panel of the COVID-19 Task Force, confirmed a local and a Pakistani national were transferred to the hospital for treatment.
Health authorities further attest both individuals are elderly citizens.
Moreover, it was confirmed the hospital was currently treating a total of 03 individuals affected with the virus.
Maldives reported the maximum number of positive cases within a 24-hour window on 26 April, Sunday while the number of infected cases remain on the up trend.
As of Monday, 27 April, it was reported a total of 220 positive cases to the virus have been confirmed; inclusive of the 17 recoveries.
Health authorities confirm a total of 201 remain in treatment.
