Officials spokesperson for Covid-19 updates in Maldives Mohamed Mabrook Azeez says contact tracing of the positive cases has identified 2003 contacts and that 253 places are currently under monitoring.
Speaking to reporters, Mabrook said contact tracing for positive cases was on-going and so far 2003 contacts have been identified.
Mabrook added that 253 places are currently under monitoring following the spike in positive cases in Maldives over the last two weeks.
Mabrook said this includes 4 vessels, 18 islands and 1 resort.
A total of 214 people have now tested positive for Covid-19 in Maldives. 73 individuals were reported as infected yesterday alone.
