The Hulhumale' football school, which commenced development during previous administration, have concluded work and gets transformed into a temporary shelter.
Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, Ahmed Mahloof in a tweet confirmed 24 rooms of the facility have been completed sometime on Thursday evening, 23 April.
The facility have been temporarily into a shelter to accommodate individuals and families experiences extremely detrimental social or housing issues amid the current economic crisis.
The football school facility, post full completion, will hold a capacity of over 100 students' accommodation.
The venue comes with accommodation blocks, living quarters and football pitches along with a gym and a mosque.
State had transformed the facility temporarily into a shelter after several individuals became stranded on streets of Maldives capital city and the Greater Male' Region, amid the current crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
