Health Protection Agency HPA says it is seeking patrons who visited Baazaru Lily Store on the 13th, 14th and 15th of April as officials scramble to contain the Covid-19 pandemic now spreading through Male’ City.

Briefing the media on the latest developments of the Covid-19 crisis, HPA’s medical officer Dr. Fathimath Nazla Rafeeq said HPA is urging patrons who visited Baazru Lily store between 08:00hrs to 18:00hrs on 13th and 14th April to notify them immediately and this is regarding Covid-19 positive case 55. She said those who visited the store on April 15th between 08:00hrs to 16:00hrs should also notify the agency.

Dr. Nazla said, as case 55 is an employee of Lily stores, there is a chance that the individual met more people than previously identified.

She said a number of contacts of the individual have already been identified and that contact tracing was still on going.

A total of 69 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Maldives with 49 of them in the capital Male’.
