Recent research confirms the contagion of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Severe Accute Respiratory Syndrome-Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) contracts through breath.
The latest findings regarding the contagion was revealed by Dr. Mohamed Ali a physician at the National Center for Respiratory Medicine at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
Dr. Mohamed Ali shared the findings from University of Nebraska, on the COVID-19 virus, confirming the disease may contract from one individual to the other through the breath - and the virus may remain active through the air.
Doctors have advised to use fabric-based face masks in order to better counter the disease or to avoid contracting the virus through air.
Due to the relative lack of sufficient data on the virus has pushed health authorities and global health organizations to constantly revise the counter-measure standards in order to avoid spread or contract of the disease.
The recent research conducted by the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in collaboration with National Strategic Research Institute and AeroSpace of US Air Force, revealed the virus was potent in air and can be contracted through breath.
Other methods of the viral contracting people include; while using toilets or restrooms as contents of the virus may remain active in such environments for longer hours.
It was further revealed the virus may remain residual in objects; items used in daily life, and can be contracted by coming into close contact.
