Health Protection Agency HPA says work at construction sites across the Greater Male Area should be halted after 5pm everyday.
HPA said this would include construction sites in Male’, Villimale’ and Hulhumale’. It said construction work should be halted at 5pm everyday and can only begin at 6am the next day.
HPA said this order would be effective from 12pm tomorrow and will be applicable until further notice from HPA.
HPA issued the order came under the vested authority to Director General of Public Health Maimoona Aboobakuru in accordance to the Public Health Act with the government announcing a state of public health emergency to fight global Pandemic Covid-19.
A three hour curfew will also be implemented in the Greater Male’ Area starting tomorrow.
