The Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) has acquired their latest seaplane and increased their fleet to 57 planes.

The seaplane operator had flown in their 56th plane earlier in January while their 57th inclusion landed at Velana International Airport (VIA) sometime on Sunday afternoon, 26 January 2020.

The seaplanes are acquired as part of the company's initiative announced back in September 2019 to increase their fleet capacity.

TMA, noted as the largest seaplane operator in the world and the strongest seaplane service provider in the island nation itself, has been inflating their fleet capacity amid the new seaplane terminal drawing close to a final completion.
