Authorities have made arrest of four individuals from Kaafu atoll Kaashidhoo in possession what was believed to be alcohol.
Maldives Police Service confirms they made the arrest around 02:30hrs on early Monday morning during a regular patrolling.
Moreover, authorities reveal the arrested invidiuals include a 24 year old local male, an 18 year old local female along with a 30 year old Sri Lankan and a minor.
Upon inspection under police custody, authorities found two bottles containing what was strongly believed to be alcohol.
Futhermore, Police revealed the arrested minor has been reported for fleeing family protection.
The arrest pushed for the inspection of the Sri Lankan's residence, upon which police had found items used in brewing alcohol.
In the meantime, Maldives Police Service confirms further probe into the case has been commenced.
