President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has reaffirmed the Administration's commitment to ensuring inclusive and quality education for all, describing education as a fundamental human right and a powerful driver of development.
In a message marking the International Day of Education, the President noted that despite challenges such as climate vulnerability and evolving labour market demands, the Government remains dedicated to holistic education reform that reaches every learner, nationwide.
He emphasised the Administration's focus on inclusivity, including a dedicated national training programme for Special Educational Needs (SEN) teachers, and outlined plans to reshape learning pathways by enhancing vocational education and training, prioritising employability and national certifications.
President Dr Muizzu further noted ongoing efforts to improve education quality through curriculum reform, digital transformation, and international partnerships.
The President called upon all stakeholders to work together in shaping an education system that empowers every Maldivian and expressed his vision for a sector that builds a stronger youth, not only as learners but as co-creators of education for generations to come.
