Bank Fund 2025 winner United Islamic Society (UIS) has opened a Multi-Media Studio at Dh. Atoll Education Centre (Dh.A.E.C) at Dh. Kudahuvadhoo.

UIS is a Kudahuvadhoo-based NGO. Under this project, UIS has established a fully equipped and sustainable multi-media studio for the Media Club at Dhaalu Atoll Education Centre, an institution that serves more than 800 students. The studio is equipped with professional cameras, lighting kits, audio recording tools, editing computers, and live streaming hardware.

Dh. A.E.C has an active and enthusiastic Media Club that previously faced limitations due to a lack of equipment. Through this project, UIS aims to strengthen students’ digital media skills by establishing a training and production hub where students can produce videos, broadcast events, compile reports, and create educational content for the school’s official YouTube channel.

The facility will also support services for nearby islands and local institutions, while encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing within the wider community.

The studio will be managed by a dedicated team from the school and the NGO, ensuring sustainability through ongoing training, regular maintenance, and potential revenue-generating collaborations with community partners.

The 'Bank Fund' is an annual program to select five projects each year to receive MVR 200,000 in funding. BML remains dedicated to empowering local communities and building a brighter future for the Maldives.
