The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development of saudi has launched “Skills Week” to mark World Youth Skills Day, under the theme “Skills First.” The initiative underscores the ministry’s commitment to empowering Saudi youth, enhancing workforce readiness, and aligning national talent with evolving labor market needs.

Running throughout the week, the campaign aims to highlight strategic programs that boost the efficiency, competitiveness, and productivity of the Kingdom’s labor market. It also serves as a platform to promote the development of a national skills framework and accelerate investments in Saudi human capital.

“Skills Week” features a variety of initiatives designed to:

Identify current and future skill requirements,Align education and training with labor market demands,And foster stronger collaboration between the public and private sectors.Dr. Ahmed Al-Zahrani, Assistant Minister for Skills and Training, emphasized the significance of the initiative, calling it a “milestone” in the Kingdom’s journey toward a skills-driven economy.

“This reflects our national commitment to building a fully integrated skills ecosystem,” he said. “By advancing the national skills strategy, we aim to ensure that learning outcomes are tightly aligned with the real needs of both the local and global job markets.”
