President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed departed for the United Kingdom on Wednesday evening on an unofficial visit.
The President's Office said that during the visit, the President will personally cover all expenses related to the trip, including those associated with administrative duties and family and personal matters.
It did not reveal the purpose of their trip or their return date.
The President and First Lady have traveled abroad on unofficial trips several times this year. Their latest unofficial trip was to Singapore back in August.
