A cycle collided with the side fences on the Sinamale Bridge, resulting in a serious accident.
Police said the motorcycle collided with the fences near the Airport traffic lights and that the incident was reported around 5:25 a.m.
They also said the motorcycle rider was injured in the collision and rushed to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Male'. Police further reported that the man's condition was serious.
They confirmed that a 53-year-old local man was injured in the accident.
Police are further investigating the incident.
