PM Modi expresses confidence in taking Indo-US relations with Trump, congratulating him on his "historic election victory" in the US presidential elections.

The Prime Minister expressed confidence in bringing Indo-US ties to new heights as Trump begins his second term.

PM Modi also said, “As you build on the successes of your previous term, I look forward to renewing our collaboration to further strengthen the India-US Comprehensive Global and Strategic Partnership. Together, let’s work for the betterment of our people and to promote global peace, stability and prosperity”.

PM Modi and Donald Trump have cordial and good ties. Events like 'Howdy Modi!' in the United States in 2019, while Donald Trump was President, demonstrated the two leaders' friendly sentiments.

The 'Namaste Trump' event during his 2020 trip to India received a tremendous popular response.

The two presidents have had excellent discussions and met multiple times to strengthen India-US ties.

According to the most recent forecasts from Fox News, Trump has received 277 electoral votes, much beyond the 270 required to win the presidency. Trump won the important battleground states of Pennsylvania and Georgia, and he still leads Michigan.

Notably, this will be only the second time a president has served two nonconsecutive terms in the White House. This is only the second time in over a century that a leader has won the presidency after previously losing it. Grover Cleveland was the nation's non-consecutive president in 1884 and 1892.In his speech, Trump offered gratitude to the people and stated that he will not stop until he achieves a "strong, safe, and prosperous America."

Trump, accompanied by his running mate, JD Vance, and family members, addressed fans in Florida, describing his expected victory as the "greatest political movement of all time," which will help make "America great again."

Republicans will win at least 50 seats in the Senate of the US Congress by the end of the elections, as estimated by Fox News. As per CNN projections, candidates from the Democratic Party are winning the elections for the governors in only three of the ten states where the counting is already underway. (ANI)
