President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has urged individuals to have trust in themselves and engage in the nation's vision. He said this while addressing the Graduation Ceremony 2024 of Maldives National University (MNU) at Dharubaaruge earlier today

Speaking at the ceremony, the President emphasized that the graduates' success is the culmination of hard work and sacrifices over many days, reminding them that it is a blessing from Almighty Allah for those dedicated to their efforts.

He also encouraged graduates to rebuild their personal lives based on this achievement and to strengthen their commitment to contributing to the country.

The President asserted that individuals must develop a determination to achieve results through self-trust and the conviction that they can effect positive change, even amidst increasing challenges. He noted that, as a Maldivian, his responsibilities toward the country extend beyond mere legal obligations.

President Muizzu highlighted the enduring significance of the sacrifices made by the ancestors who played a pivotal role in advancing the nation.

The President stated that a nation can progress in two fundamental ways. It is through ideological development and visible advancements. He emphasized the significant progress the country is making in these areas and announced that a budget of MVR 2.5 billion has been designated specifically for the housing sector to enhance living conditions for the citizens.

The President stated that substantial efforts are being undertaken to strengthen the economy and expand opportunities in higher education. He emphasized the initiatives at both the administrative and international levels aimed at developing the university’s training facilities, facilitating a skilled economy, and ensuring the advancement of youth despite the challenges faced.
