Police say they have found a man with serious injuries in a room in a guest house in Henveiru Ward of Male'.
They said that officers attended the scene after the guest house reported that they had had no contact with the guest for some time. Police said once their officers entered the room, they found a man with serious injuries inside the room.
They confirmed that the person was a local male.
Police said the man was rushed to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital for treatment. Police also cited the hospital to report that the victim is being treated at the Intensive Care Unit ICU of the hospital.
They said that their officers were investigating the case and going through the scene of the discovery.
