Police, have relaunched a campaign to remove graffiti that violates common social standards in various areas of Male' City. This effort is part of a broader initiative to establish a crime-free and safe society. It is a collaboration between the Police and Male' City Council.

Police said that the campaign, led by the Gang Crime Enforcement of the Maldives Police Service, aims to cleanse public spaces of writings and paintings that are deemed inappropriate for public viewing, especially for children.

They said that the inscriptions and drawings targeted in this operation were identified as unsuitable for the public and inconsistent with social norms.

Police further said that this initiative seeks to improve the aesthetic appeal of Male' and aims to ensure that public areas remain welcoming and safe for all, particularly youngsters.

Police added that the campaign is scheduled to continue in a series of phases, addressing different areas of the city in turn.
