President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to the leaders of Islamic nations on the advent of the Islamic New Year 1446.
In messages sent to the leaders of Islamic nations, President Dr. Muizzu prayed that this new year usher in joy, peace, and harmony for all our Islamic brothers and sisters worldwide and that the Almighty’s mercy and blessings be granted to those suffering.
In his messages, the President also added hope that Almighty Allah bestow blessings and bring the countries together for the Muslim Ummah's peace, solidarity, and prosperity.
Meanwhile, the President urged everyone to unite in reforming the country's affairs for the Islamic New Year. He made these remarks in his written statement commemorating the Islamic New Year.
The President emphasized the historical significance of Prophet Muhammad's migration (Hijra) from Mecca to Medina and extended greetings to the citizens and all the Muslim Ummah across the globe.
In the statement, the President emphasized the importance of fostering unity, strengthening families, and preserving strong relationships with neighbors for the betterment of the country.
He added the economic benefits of practicing frugality and avoiding wasteful expenditure and urged everyone to set a New Year's resolution to support government reform measures and constructive efforts to ensure future generations' security and prosperity.
