He commented while speaking at a campaign rally held in Addu City last night.

Noting that out of the 100 Km, 60 were in this state, President Solih said that the Construction Ministry would draw up a contract with Road Development Corporation RDC to install asphalt on 60 km.

The President added that this was an MVR 18 million project and would be initiated later this year.

President Muizzu said that Addu's water system must be upgraded and that this project would be assigned to MWSC this week.

He also outlined plans to upgrade several health facilities in the City to include Cath lab and therapy services.

The President said that previous governments do not start big projects early when they are formed and he wants to change that. He added that dealing with things at the end of a 5-year term was unacceptable.
