Veteran local actor Ibrahim Shakir has passed away.
Sources have said that Shakir affectionately referred to as 'Shakirbe' by most in the industry and the public passed away after suffering a stroke. The reports said that he passed away while under treatment last night.
The actor was 85.
His funeral prayers would be held at Hulhumale' Cemetry after afternoon prayers.
Shakirbe' had featured in most of the locals that came out in the 1990s. The much-loved actor was seen in comedy roles as well as dramatic and serious roles.
