Police say a man has been injured after a speeding motorcycle crashed into a wall in the southern city of Fuvahmulah.
They said that they received the report of an accident on Bodufannu Magu of Fuvahmulah City around 10:15 p.m. last night.
Police said preliminary investigations show that the accident had occurred when a speeding motorcycle had veered out of control and crashed into a wall on the street.
Police said that a 30-year-old local man was injured in the crash and rushed to Fuvamulah hospital for treatment. They confirmed that the victim has now been transferred to Male' for further treatment. Police did not clarify whether the person injured in the accident was riding a motorcycle when it crashed or not.
Police added that they were further investigating the matter.
