Hackers purporting to be from India have hacked into the website of the Juvenile Court as tensions between the Maldives and India still appear unsettled.

The cyber attack claiming to be from India comes after the Maldivian government website including the website of the President's Office was targeted in waves of cyber attacks after the flare-up with India ignited last weekend. The government has since increased firewalls and security on its websites.

The flare-up between India and Maldives ignited after Deputy Ministers from the Maldivian government mocked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on social media. The incident led to the junior Ministers being suspended but many are calling on the government to remove them from office.
