Police say a man was injured today after he fell from a building in Hulhumale' Phase 2.
In a message to the media, the Police said they received the report of a man falling from the 8th tower of the Vinares flats in Phase 2 earlier today and that the Police were dispatched to the scene.
They stated that the victim was a local man aged 18.
Police further informed that the man has been rushed to the hospital for further treatment.
They did not give any more information about the nature of the man's injures and why he fell from the building but insisted that they were further investigating the case.
Such incidents are not uncommon in the Maldives with several smillar incidents reported over the last few months.
