President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has mandated the continuous hoisting of the national flag at all government institutions, effective today.

Traditionally, the national flag was raised from 6 am to 6 pm daily.

This decision, articulated in President Dr Muizzu's inaugural address delivered upon assuming office, underscores the commitment to a continuous display of our cherished national flag.

He emphasized that the sun will never set on this esteemed symbol, which will proudly flutter on every island of the Maldives.

In his inaugural address, the President announced a national project to rekindle patriotism to preserve and pass on our national identity to future generations.

He emphasized that this endeavor to rejuvenate our sense of nationhood will cultivate and nourish the emotional, spiritual, and meaningful connections that bind the Maldivian people together.
