Urbanco has ordered the removal of chairs and tables placed on the pavement of Hulhumale.
Urbanco said cafes, restaurants and jugo points are illegally setting up chairs and tables in various areas of Hulhumale.
Urbanco has ordered the removal of the chairs and tables placed in the area for commercial use by the 20th of this month.
If the items are not removed within that period, the corporation will continue to clean up the area. Urbanco will not be responsible for any damage to any property during the cleaning.
Cafe service on the pavement of cafes/takeaways in Hulhumale is very common from time to time. Urbanco has already ordered the public to stop placing chairs and tables on the pavement of some streets in Hulhumale.
Urbanco has urged everyone to cooperate in such efforts.
