Civil Court Chief Judge Ahmed Nimal Junaid has passed away suddenly at the age of 36.
Judge Nimal passed away last night and sources have reported that he died because of a suspected heart attack.
The reports also said that the Judge was at his home when he suffered the heart attack and that he was declared dead by the time he was rushed to Indira Gandi Memorial Hospital.
His burial is set at Hulhumale Cemetry after noon prayers today.
Judge Nimal was appointed as the Chief Judge of the Civil Court last March. His appointment came after former Civil Court Chief Judge Abdullah Ali retired.
Judge Nimal has been described as a highly capable and talented judge and sources said that the Judge was at work even yesterday.
