President Mohammed Nasheed has said that he does not believe that the next five years will be more intolerant of extremism than the current five years.

Looking at the results of yesterday's election, President Solih has little hope of winning a second round with the support of The Democrats, to whom President Nasheed belongs and who won third place yesterday. There is a difference of 15,000 votes between Muizzu and President Solih.
