Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Nasheed says this administration did not begin any project with the intention of completing the project.
The former President of MDP who left the party earlier this year and joined newly-formed Democrats said this while speaking at the rally to unveil the party manifesto.
Nasheed said that this administration has not finished even one project in any of the islands and that it did not begin the projects with the intention of completing them.
He said that the projects that the administration has undertaken were not included in its pledges and that the pledges it made it not involve any projects.
Nasheed said that the administration tried to get the funds to start the projects but to no avail even with loans, bonds, and free aid. He went on to attack the government by saying that it keeps printing money and that more can be printed if they had the machines.
He noted that the last five years have gone like this and that even if the country has not come to a complete standstill if President Mohamed Solih is given another term then it too could happen.
Nasheed said that Solih's popularity was at 20 percent and that the Democrats has now edged past him in terms of support.
