Noonu Atoll Manadhoo Council is seeking parties interested in installing a CCTV system that would cover parts of the island.

This follows the gruesome death of 62-year-old Naeema Moosa who was found bloody and dead in her home last weekend.

In an announcement, the Manadhoo Council said that it was seeking parties interested in installing CCTV cameras across the island and invited those interested to register for the bid information session.

The announcement said that only parties who attend the information session can submit bids for the work and that they should be registered businesses at the Economic Ministry.

Police entered the home of Naeema, who lived alone after her family reported that they had no contact with her for two days.

Authorities broke down the door of her home and found her dead in her own room with several stab wounds.

Police had said that were treating her death as a homicide and that relevant departments were working on the investigation.

Naeema was buried earlier this week in Manadhoo after police released her body to her family after determining that there was no need to perform an autopsy on her body.
