Bank of Maldives BML has honored its top-performing employees with a series of accolades at its annual staff awards ceremony, held last night at the Social Centre, Male’.
BML said Hassan Aqleem (North Cluster Manager) and Mohamed Ashraf (Head of People Development) won the coveted Employee of the Year Award.
It said that Fathimath Farihath Waheed (Head of Cards & Payment Governance), Abdulla Sobah (Senior Manager, Premium Banking), and the BML Mobile App Team were the recipients of the CEO’s Award for Outstanding Achievement.
Mohamed Saeed (Public Relations Manager) received the Best Leader Award and Ali Zaid Mohamed (Compliance Manager) received the Best Manager Award.
Awards for staff and teams who excelled over the past year were also presented in the ceremony in various categories including Best Atoll Branch, Best Team, Best Atoll Employee, Customer Service Star, and Award for Innovation.
The awards were presented by the In-charge of the Bank and Acting MD Aishath Noordeen as well as members of the Bank’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee.
Speaking at the ceremony BML’s In-charge and the Acting MD, Aishath Noordeen congratulated all the winners and expressed her deep appreciation to all BML staff for their immense contribution and commitment.
The Staff Awards represents one component of the Bank of Maldives’ focused human resources strategy. The Bank has received the prestigious “Asia’s Best Employer Brand Award” for the fourth consecutive year affirming the organization’s progress towards being one of the best and most professional places to work in the region.
