A staff from Maldives Airports Company Ltd MACL has been injured in an accident that occurred during the unloading of containers from a flight that landed at Velaana International Airport.
MACL confirmed that one of its staff was injured in the mishap and that the staff has been rushed to Indira Gandi Memorial Hospital in male'.
Though MACL did not give the details of the injury sustained, it did reveal that the staff's life was not in danger because of the injuries. Local media had reported that the staff is currently in stable condition.
Meanwhile, MACL said that it was working to identify why the container had fallen from the plane and that it can only reveal the details of the accident once the investigation is concluded.
It was reported that the accident had happened during the unloading of an Emirates flight that landed at Velaana International Airport earlier today.
